The pose I am naturally good at.
The pose I am naturally good at.
Nope, never in the past forty over years of my life would I imagine myself getting involved with yoga. Yoga sounded to me like a pure stretching activity; and it is exactly what I associated "OUCH!" with. I would rather go for a 10km-jog anytime, sweat buckets, and then enjoy a post-workout endorphin rush.
A cup of coffee with Mdm G at East Coast Park's McDonald's in 2019 changed my perception. I decided to give it a go. 17 Mar 2019 - I started my yoga first lesson with Mdm G.
However, I requested the spiritual aspect be kept minimal. Let's just say I was not ready for these kind of stuff. Perhaps those silly hippie angmoh yogis with a bun over their heads are to be blamed, and I guess it should take a while before I overcome the stereotype of an ultra-spiritual levitating yogi.
It's been two and a half years now. I remain fascinated by the many different "patterns" yoga has to offer. Besides, it is always very entertaining to hear Mdm G saying out the Sanskrit names of the poses, which almost always sound like some sort of bananas. Well, with a such good teacher, how can I not have an enjoyable banana ride?
